Don’t be so hard on Classical!

My question: Why don’t people seem to respect classical music anymore?

It’s legit music, and it dates farther back than any other “genre” out there. It’s well crafted and not raw, and for any type of person it can fit. In fact, due to the lack of lyrics, it’s almost the perfect fit: no cringe-worthy, generic lyrics, and no offbeat, I-won’t-sell-out words.

Composer who compose classical music are geniuses — they have 20 different melodies going on in their heads, and they are able to bring it together in one song. I have to say, that outshines most modern music by far — all that’s needed now is the ability to play a guitar and sing a little.

I think classical isn’t given enough credit. It’s beautiful, deep, and can create any emotion in music notes.

“To stop the flow of music would be like the stopping of time itself, incredible and
inconceivable.” – Aaron Copland
